NB001 Fishing vessel launching

We launched a new fishing vessel NB001 using Alkor’s dock. The vessel is 28m long and 10m wide. It’s well adapted to fishing through bottom trawls. The ship that will be christened MS Slettenberg was built for the Norwegian company Granli Fiskeri AS.
The two-day launching operation lasted was performed in two phases. In the first phase the vessel was moved over onto the pontoon and towed to the floating dock. In the second phase the vessel was launched and towed out of the dock.
Fully equipped vessel built entirely by Safe shipyard will operate mostly in the Barents Sea and Svalbard’s area. The contract was signed on the 16th of December 2018. The project was prepared by Naval Consult AS office.
